Just Keep Reading…

Readers ~ Many of us are spending time at home in the next few weeks, and many of us are looking for new and interesting books to read.  Have you read all of the books you have at home? Are you interested in trying some new genres or authors? Do you want to hear a story? You have come to the right place!  Check out these options for reading while at home.

  • Storyline Online ~ Here you can find many, many picture books read by famous actors!  From Library Lion by Michelle Knudsen to A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon, there is something here for everyone. This is a free site.
  • Epic! ~  From picture books to chapter books, you can find almost anything on this site.  The books are in color and some are set up to read to you. This site offers a free 30 day trial.  They are offering free access until the end of the school year. Ask your teacher to sign up for this!
  • Reading Rainbow ~This link is to the show’s youtube channel.  This show has been airing for over 30 years. The episodes focus on one book/story. This is a great option for read aloud.
  • Indianapolis Public Library ~ This library has links to 100+ free video read alouds.

You can also search for your favorite book and see if there is a read aloud by the author posted.  I enjoyed this video of Max the Brave read by author Ed Vere.

I hope you find stories in these links, Readers.  No matter which way you choose to do it, remember, Just Keep Reading!  As my friend Ann always says, “Read On, Readers.”
