Summer is here and that means, SUMMER READING!!! It is a great time to catch up on the books that I have been meaning to read for students and for myself. Summer is also a great time to visit the library and not just my local library, but the libraries in the towns that I visit.
My student stack is a variety of genres and titles that I have been looking forward to reading but just didn’t have the time to get to this year. It was a busy year, if you know what I mean! It is an ambitious stack, but I am excited to dive in and get started.
My adult stack is one that I have been looking forward to as well. The Grisham book was a gift at holiday time and I purchased The Maid at an independent book store near the beach where I do my summer reading. This Tender Land was recommended by a friend and The Guncle is our staff read for July. I can’t wait to dive into this stack either, in fact, I am halfway through The Guncle and it is wonderful!
It has been a great year for reading and it is shaping up to be a great summer for reading as well. Sun, sand and something to read, I couldn’t be happier.
