I am always looking for books to read aloud that serve multiple purposes. Even if a book is great it often won’t make the cut because there never seems to be enough time.
But… I had only one goal when I chose to read I Don’t Want to Read This Book by Max Greenfield to a group of third graders:
Love of Reading
This book had kids reading along, laughing out loud and having fun.

I could have planned lessons around this book but there was no need. The kids were thinking and learning while laughing and chatting with their friends.

After reading I had kids jot me a note with their thoughts about the book. The notes were very similar: This book is so funny! Everyone should definitely read this book! Jacob’s advice was simple: Buy it!
Lilah’s note sums things up very well.

This book is definitely worth a read.
So much fun…kids will love this book!
